David Gim is the founder and CEO of IKIGAI International, a pioneering media asset management and production finance company.

David's deep expertise in film production comes from his prior role as Managing Director and Head Producer of Continuance Pictures. During his tenure, he was instrumental in developing and producing over 20 films, including the horror feature Subject, recognized by the New York Times as one of the top horror films to watch in 2023. The film was acquired by Screambox for U.S. distribution and was the only Australian genre film to be selected for Cannes' Frontières program in 2021. David also produced Head Count, a feature released in the U.S. via Shout Factory, and contributed to Cursed & Reklaw, which premiered at SXSW, and Are We Not Cats, showcased at Venice and Berlin film festivals.

Over the last six years, David has attended prestigious film markets and established a network of industry professionals at Cannes in France, Toronto International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, and Melbourne International Film Festival.

David's educational background underscores his robust foundation in both media and business. He holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Journalism and Business, specialising in journalism, marketing, and management strategy from Monash University. He also earned a Master of Accounting and Finance from Deakin University. His undergraduate studies include a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Monash University and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Media Communication from the University of Queensland. Additionally, he holds a Diploma of Media Communication/Behaviour Science from Monash College.

David is bilingual, speaking fluent English and Korean, which enables him to connect with a broader range of industry professionals and audiences. He oversees multiple projects in both languages for films and television, working with relevant language producers.
